Miss Lee's Homework/Behavior Expectations:
Reading = read 20 minutes each night and do a check for understanding A check for understanding is a 2 sentence summary of what was read, answering these 2 questions: 1. Who did I just read about? 2. What just happened? We have practiced this in the classroom and the students know how it is to be worded. In order to get a 3 on this assignment, it must be 4th grade quality. Sentence structure, capitalization and punctuation must be correct and neat penmanship. Social Studies = to be determined Discipline is usually managed in house with the students accepting responsibility for their actions and choosing an appropriate consequence. If the behavior is not corrected, then parents will be contacted. I look forward to working with you and your child this year. |
Mr. Veeder's Homework Expectations:
Homework will be checked daily! There will be a math assignment every night. Homework will either be handed in or checked in class daily. Most of the science work will be completed in class. Rarely will your child have science homework. There will be a quarterly science project due at the end of each marking period. Your child will be given time during class to work on these projects, but he or she may choose to work on these assignments at home as well. Homework will not be given on Friday nights. Enjoy your weekends !! |
